APhA-ASP Innovative Programming Award

Overview

The APhA–ASP Innovative Programming Award was adapted to allow chapters to share creative ideas implemented in their chapters and learn from other schools across the country. The award emphasizes APhA-ASP's mission to provide opportunities for professional growth and improve patient care while advancing the future of pharmacy. Students have the opportunity to practice presentation skills, highlight their chapter’s innovation, network and learn from students across the country, and implement creative ideas in their chapters.

Chapters may present a single activity or a series of activities based on a central theme that is original, creative, and sets their chapter apart from all other APhA‐ASP chapters. Innovative programs may include patient care and community service projects (not including national patient care projects), community outreach, American Pharmacists Month, fundraisers, membership recruitment, change in leadership structure/meeting structure, etc.

Any event pertaining to Operation Diabetes, Operation Heart, Operation Immunization, Operation Reproductive Health, Operation OTC Medicine Safety, or Operation Substance Use Disorders cannot be used for this award because they are already recognized as national awards. Additionally, PharmFlix submissions cannot be utilized.

All innovative programming must have been completed between September 2021 to September 2023, and only events that have been accomplished and implemented can be reported on.Chapters may not re-submit a topic that was submitted for last year's competition.
